Office planning, setup and move services

Challenge

The client is forever changing shape and size. The client moves office regularly due to this. Moving was a large part of the challenge that was faced. During the 5 years prior to meeting Lanmark, the client had moved 3 times and each time it was managed badly. The impact on the staff was in lots of ways. This impact ranged from bad Wi-Fi in the office, systems not working to the office just not being set up properly following the move. The last move the employees arrived to find the boxes of IT equipment just put on the desk not plugged in or tested!

Solution

The customer needed a partner they could rely on and work with. They wanted to share the possible plans, their plans and also just act knowing that this knowing the partner would be able to react accordingly.

The customer met Lanmark and found this. They have worked with Lanmark around every part of office moves from purchasing new IT Equipment, internet provision, moving IT Equipment to Wi-Fi surveys at new offices. This has enabled the customer to do what they are employed to do and leave the IT move in the hands of Lanmark. The best bit is the staff do not dread day one in a new office. They know that when they go to a new office it will work, the WI-FI will be strong, and they will be able to work and not worry. Lanmark asks them to box up the personal items and then Lanmark takes care of the IT equipment and test when installed at the other end.

As well as moves the client works with Lanmark for all things IT. This is from Helpdesk to new laptops. Due to some of the staff needing niche machines Lanmark often has calls with both the client and their 3rd party. This is to work out the right solution.

Partnership

The team at Lanmark now meet with the client on a regular basis to understand what is going on, where the future might lead them. Importantly it is a partnership. The client gives as much notice as possible but equally knows if they must act Lanmark will react in the right way. Lanmark sits on the clients steering committee that meets every 6 months to talk about and act on things that might be on the horizon.

Results

Lanmark works with the client on all office moves and regularly discus what move might come up next. The client now is happy knowing Lanmark have everything IT in hand so that they can concentrate on everything else around a move and not worry about the physical move!
